CityBusiness honors Charlotte Piotrowski as a 2015 Women of the Year

Rent-A-Nerd, Inc. is very pleased that our co-owner and Director of Marketing and Community Outreach has been selected by New Orleans CityBusiness as one of the Women of the Year honorees. Charlotte was selected based on her professional and community achievements. Per CityBusiness:

Fifty honorees for the 2015 class of CityBusiness “Women of the Year” have been chosen, and they will be the guests of honor at an event highlighting their professional and community achievements.

The 17th annual “Women of the Year” will be recognized at a noon Nov. 12 luncheon at the Hyatt Regency, when an overall Woman of the Year will be announced. A special insert spotlighting all “Women of the Year” honorees will run in the Nov. 27 issue of CityBusiness.

Seating can be purchased online. For seating information, contact Marilyn Miller at 293-9201 or [email protected].

In addition to her work for Rent-A-Nerd, Inc., Charlotte is a published writer and author. She has written for a number of regional periodicals, including Biz New Orleans and New Orleans CityBusiness, on topics including computer network monitoring and maintenance contracts, working with your spouse, and tips for freshening up your business (sort of like “going back to school” for your business). Her most recent book, Glimpses of Heaven on Earth, was the 2014 Living Now Book Award Bronze Metal Winner for Social Activism/Charity.

When she is not working, Charlotte is quite active in a number of philanthropic and charitable organizations, which is an essential element of her community outreach initiatives through Rent-A-Nerd, Inc. She is an annual committee member of Howling Success, a fun-filled evening benefiting the LA/SPCA, which takes place this year on November 7th. She is the live auction chair of the Opera Ball, to be held on December 5th, and is a table host for A Night in the Garden of Eden, on November 4th, which benefits Eden House, a local home for victims of human trafficking. Finally, Charlotte serves on the Passion Committee for Go Red for Women, an annual event that raises money for the local chapter of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The luncheon will be held on Thursday, February, 26, 2015.
